The infills between the Icelandic contribution and CE were dire, made even more so for me by the contrast with the Estonian folk style pieces which, like Draco, I thought very good.

The Swedish offering is by the far the most polished so far (IMO that is) with much of the programme linked with passages on the organ and piano. BUT, I am just starting to tire of the lugubriousness of it all! The current fashion for slow a-rhythmic stuff seems to have taken hold, with the notable exception of Gardner's wonderful Tomorrow Shall be mt Dancing Day. As their session ends I'm living in hope of something to liven it up a bit. Excellent singing though.

Not too struck with the Latvia segment - not least because I haven't been able to make out what the duduk sounds like yet!

Dipped in and out throughout the day. Thoroughly enjoyed what I've heard. Will be catching up on BBC Sounds, I suspect.
