I’ve been notified of the following and pass it on as I suspect a number here would enjoy the performance. (I was the Forum member who attended the Epiphany concert, and wrote about it here).
May we draw forumites’ attention to a concert by ‘CONTINUUM’, a new and exciting young choral group, who will be performing ‘High Summer’ on 29th August, 7.30pm at The Grey Coat Hospital, Grey Coat Place, Horseferry Road, London SW1P.
When Continuum gave their inaugural Epiphany concert in London back in January, they packed out St Gabriel’s Church, Pimlico. In the audience was a member of The Radio 3 Forum who wrote afterwards, “Choral aficionados should take note of “Continuum”…it was an outstanding set of performances.”
This time, the concert will feature some fabulous summer jazz and English madrigals with something for everyone’s musical tastes – timeless arrangements alongside a wealth of English folk and madrigal classics which epitomise summer.
Continuum’s conductor (and choir founder) is Harry Guthrie, a choral scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge. Fellow choir members are some of Cambridge University’s finest choral scholars from Trinity and King’s Colleges, plus top conservatoire singers from across the UK.
Continuum would love to see you on the 29th August. If you wish to attend, tickets can be booked via Eventbrite at https://tinyurl.com/yybx4pb5
