Forumistas aware of the work of the International Federation of Choral Music may have heard about the death in a car accident last year of prominent Chilean choir director Victor Alarcon:
Chilean composer Carlos Zamora, currently a PhD student at the University of York, is hoping to organise a concert in Chile featuring music he's composed in Alarcón's honour, with the aim of raising support in Chile to continue some of Alarcón's unfinished choral projects.
Any Forumista who might wish to support the crowdfunding necessary to raise the funds to cover the expenses of the concert can do so via the University of York:
Just as important as money is spreading the word about the concert to anyone who may be interested, in the UK, in Chile, or anywhere. Thanks in anticipation to anyone who can share and/or donate.
