Hello amateur51. No doubt Ravensbourne will reply to your query in greater detail; however the lessons advertised on the R3 CE website were First Lesson Judges 15,v1 - 16 v3 (when in fact "beginning at the ist verse of the 24th chapter of Isaiah" was read) and Second Lesson Luke Ch 18 vv 15-30 (whereas "beginning at v6, Ch 1 of the Epistle to the Corinthians" was read). Hope this is helpful.

Unless I'm much mistaken, the Second Lesson from Eton was actually 1 Cor. 6 vv 1-10.

Absolutely right decantor. Looking again at my scribbled notes the reference for the broadcasted Second Lesson should have been.. beginning at "the First Verse of the Sixth Chapter of the Epistle to the Corinthians......", or suchlike. My apologies.

Can anyone suggest any liturgical reason why the lessons might have been changed? Or is the chapel at Eton College not party to the same lectionary as other places of Anglican worship such that the powers can change whatever is set for the day on their own recognisance?

            Many thanks, decantor.

Not exactly what you might want to hear at teatime, I'd say
