Beautiful performance of the Byrd Canticles and Tallis Responses, last Sunday at evensong in Kings College Chapel. Sir Stephen looking a little frail at times, the singing anything but.
Just wondering what was meant by DracoM's 'Crikey'!
Stephen Cleobury's knighthood couldn't be more 'right' ... over the decades he has done a fantastic job at King's, and in the wider musical world. One has only to think of the organ and choral scholars he has nurtured now major players in the musical world, not to mention the literally hundreds of young choristers whose lives will have been enhanced by his work at such a high level for so long. Bravo Sir Stephen ... and I'm sure we would all wish him a long and happy retirement.

I took it as a comment on his frailty.
But Draco's postings are often rather difficult to interpret, and do not necessarily relate to the immediately preceding post (as often the message being responded to is not quoted!).
