Chants to die for. And another one by How, the second in two weeks.

Well, those kids certainly had one heck of a sing there! Nowhere to rest: lines in all parts esp treb with big intervals, stratospheric tops, unexpected harmonies.
        VERY fine vol too.

Well that was a joy to listen to. Lovely perspective to the recording too.

Wednesday afternoons are proving a real treat for me with CE and the New Generation Artists performances that follow it - these were particularly excellent today, I thought. An hour-and-a-half of sanity before the insanity begins at 5 o'clock!

Sheer joy. Treasured every minute. Thomas Leech now at Leeds Cathedral and a powerful force in the choral scene in Bradford and Leeds.

Enjoyed the Psalmody very much, especially Ps 32.

I enjoyed the consistency of choir sound and overall recording balance. Whatever caught my attention did so for the right - positive - reasons.
And yes I agree about the NGA slot which follows CE. As it is short I find myself listening to things I might not otherwise choose to.

Over the years, there have been many, many comments about what constitutes 'good' psalm singing.
What does good psalm singing require?
