I'm sure this programme doesn't bother God at all.

God bothering refers to the delusional participants not to the sky fairy...

It's the longest-running BBC OB programme - over 80 years, so don't hold your breath
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Kind of you to drop by, spasuit. Always welcome.

Actually, one of the main reasons that CE appears on The Choir [ and this Forum] is the musical content which embraces well over a thousand years of the European tradition, which in turn feels like a pretty damned good reason for listening and getting to know a fairly enormous repertoire, eh?

You may not like the reason the hour is on in the first place, but the quality of music making is usually extraordinarily high, and is frequently sung by the youngest professionals who are equally often on their way to becoming the musicians / composers etc to delight and provoke thought in later years. I quite like the fact that we are allowed to eavesdrop on that rich vein.

And it's the programme that keeps me sane as I drive the long journey home every Wednesday during term-time.

              Well said Draco!
Somehow, I think God rather enjoys being 'bothered' by us delusional beings and probably looks forward to this hour every week, as much as those taking part or listening.
EA - I can absolutely empathise with your view. I'm feeling rather poorly at the moment but, the sound of CE from Buckfast this afternoon has lifted and calmed my spirits immensely, for which I am very grateful.

If absurd people like yourself don't like it, don't listen to it. Simple really.

Vcc - inclined to agree though suspect the comment was intended to contentious! Bws. Liz

Since those of spasuit's persuasion find it so difficult to make their point without giving calculated offence, perhaps they should be encouraged to hold their breath (or at least withhold their comments) for the next 80 years of uplifting music, which can be enjoyed by those of any persuasion.

How nice to see such unanimity of thought.
I may be delusional - indeed I embrace the term - but I most sincerely pray for Lizzie to feel very better very soon!

Thank you Muticus! Hug gratefully received and it would only hurt if you were being terribly overfamiliar!?
