Recommend catching up with this Matins type service with the St Davids Cathedral Choir on splendid form. Some barn-storming descants for the trebles to assail early in the morning. Other highlights include a 'A Responsory of St David' arranged by Timothy Noon and resplendent reed stops from the organ.

I mostly pass on the Sunday morning service on R4. But as there was no Martin Handley, I was happy to carry on listening to this broadcast. Yes, it was very good.

Agree about the music. Too much sermonising for my tastes...but this is where i-player is a boon for agnostic musicians!
