I saw a strange halfhour programme a few days ago which was called something like 'A year at Kings' and I'm wondering if it was a cut-down version of this as it really didn't hang together or seem to have a narrative. It had four brief sections each corresponding to a season, heading towards Christmas and ending with the November broadcast, and I think was produced for regional early evening consumption.

I sampled a few snippets and it does seem to be a cut-down version of the hour-long programme.

When I was putting the papers out earlier I noticed that the blurb for the hour long programme last Saturday said"....an extended version of a programme first shown on BBC One East", so that explains it.

Just spoken to my family in Norway who were able to hear the radio version of 9L&C, but not the TV programme. There was also a radio documentary about Kings. I wonder which that would have been? Something made for the World Service perhaps?
