This is just a heads-up that today's episode of CotW (Bruckner/Faith)) focused on his choral music. There were some ravishing performances of his motets (Os Justi, Virga Jesse, Vexilla Regis, Ecce Sacerdos and others) by the likes of Polyphony, Tenebrae and The Corydon Singers.

Indeed, but weirdly, I clicked on the arrow at the start of a track and it stopped after about 30 seconds. Why?
Had to listen [no pain] to the whole prog to get past that 30 seconds.
My fault - I rarely listen to COTW like this - i.e. picking stuff off the tracks listings.Last edited by DracoM; 30-10-18, 18:38.

People will be aware of my views about Facebook. The problem is that it is not moderated (or Hosted as we call it) and so anyone can say anything about anyone. It is extraordinary to me that a few, a very few, music-lovers can be beastly to each other. I always thought music to be a civilising influence!
I'm afraid unfettered access to internet material...and there's a lot of bad stuff out there...is the cause of much teenage angst, especially I think affecting young women and their self image. It should be possible to ignore people slagging each other off, but an even worse aspect of it is that 'celebs' give the impression that they, their bodies and their lives are 100% wonderful. It is not reality, of course, but I'm afraid some think it is, and they suffer by not being able to live up to it.
Sorry, rant over. Back to Bruckner?
