I note that the Radio Times labels it 'Live' . . .

I came in ten minutes after the start, and then was unable to turn the volume up as two cats (one of them deaf it has to be said) installed themselves on my lap, and I'm still confined (for domestic reasons) to a LIDL sound system in the kitchen, but in spite of all that I thought the service was a musical triumph. Not for me to single out the reasons, others can do that more adequately, but tone, control, and sheer musical polish seemed to be there in spadefuls. Terrific, one to download via get_iplayer so that I can keep it indefinitely.

Utterly beautiful from beginning to end. Struck me how similar in style the Stanford and Bruckner pieces were that book ended the service. Wonderful rich sound as is usual from this source. Agree with mw963 wholeheartedly, a first?
Good to hear Stanford’s tune to For all the Saints, surely equal with Sine Nomine.

My dear jonfan, it hasn't been my intention to be "contrary" at any time and if I've given that impression I'm truly sorry. I'm actually a complete pussy cat for most aspects of CE, apart (and don't let's go there) for my visceral detestation for a certain post-war composer who everyone else adores. Come down to Devon and I'll buy you a drink!

Confused for a while until I found out that this CE formed part of the Eton Choral Course 2018, not something called the Cambridge Choral Course. The last time I heard a CE broadcast that impressed me this much must have been the Rodolfus Choir at St George's Pimlico broadcast last New Year's Eve, 2017. It didn't surprise me to learn that the Rodolfus Choir comprises alumni of the Eton Choral Courses.
And the tune ends too soon for us all
