The above to be expected from someone who vigorously objects to prayers of dedication before concerts at St Davids Cathedral Festival. The utter bilge he was eloquently, IMHO, preaching was that if we love one another there will be less hated between nations, creeds and individuals. So I love you Richard.
I'm afraid the whole media jumpupanddownandcheerfest over this marriage seriously turned me off. I neither watched nor listened to anything to do with it. But given newspapers, BBC etc spent so much time on it...........
If the media spent the same amount of time and energy on climate change and its origins and more properly its increaisngly ominos outcomes..............
The Church of England may be a diverse and unwieldy beast, but has it got a charismatic wing that delivers serons like this?
I did think it was a bit too long, though. He said "With this, I'll sit down - we gotta get y'all married" - and then he didn't sit down for another five minutes at least!
Indeed it was - the Boyce Symphony No. 1 has long been one of my favourites and I was delighted to hear it played, a perfect choice. Get hold of this lovely CD for much more, bbm!
Will do! I have it on as I write this post. Many thanks.

I think your spellchecker has seriously deserted you this morning DracoM. Just an idle question-if you didn’t watch anything to do with the wedding how did you know the BBC spent so much time on it?

One would have only to check Radio Times or online details to find out how many hours BBC devoted to it and, even then, coverage not actually specified on programmes such as R4's Today would need to be added in order to get a true picture of the extent of its coverage; in other words, you'd not necessarily have to see or hear it to figure that out!

Not to mention those of us without Radio Times, who were expecting to listen to The News Quiz as usual, only to hear the same "soundtrack" continuing from BBC1 and thought that their TV/Radio set was on the blink.
(I also know in advance how much airtime is being devoted to the Beeb's forthcoming "Big Weekend of Music" without having to watch any of it.)
