Apologies - I was merely cutting / pasting from the BBC's own webpage. Now corrected.

my online radio/tv guide has a completely different King's service listed for this afternoon, but I think the BBC website is more likely to be correct

Not it has to be said my favourite choice of music, but in my humble view beautifully sung.

And WOW, what a treat in the form of the voluntary. When I hear a playful, but totally secure and stable, sunny performance like that I wish that Bach had written another ten pages. Close but sensible technical balance on the organ, allowing us to hear some lovely voicing.

As I say, a real pick-me-up after a suitably Lentern service.

The Palestrina was a bit rushed, wasn't it? And I'd have liked more of an antiphonal effect.

I didn't know the Lassus setting they did a section of as an introit. I'd like to hear more of that.

Great clarity! Lovely sound and articulation. Also good to hear the H&H so well voiced & balanced for the Bach - very good rebuild and superbly played, perfect tempi. Surprised to hear the psalm chanted in octaves - is that common practice there or elsewhere?

Totally agree. A treat, and played with great articulation. Shame we didn't get to hear which organ scholar played it! The sound engineering captured the spacial difference between the Great and Choir....the latter making a most convincing 'Positiv'.

I wonder if the BBC use King's own microphone set up as used by the chapel for their webcasts and CDs? These always sound quite superb and I'd say yes to answer my own question.

Not heard it yet but looking forward to doing so.
