Yes iPlayer isn't accessible - but I believe there is a BBC channel in the US broadcasting highlights from the UK schedule, and I'd imagine this documentary might be part of their Xmas schedule...

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Yes, but surely quaver = quaver whenever the time signature changes.

As mentioned above, cameras were present at the 2017 service, and the start of the service can be seen in the documentary which was broadcast in the UK last Friday and which, one very much hopes, will be available soon on BBC America and various other BBC international channels. There is, though, a trailer on YouTube, and the start of the 2017 Festival can be seen (hopefully without international rights restrictions) here. Sadly though, the trailer fades out as SJC has signalled to the organ scholar to finish extemporising and just before he points at the selected chorister. There's also a fascinating World Service documentary by Bob Chilcott here.
