    This coming Wednesday, as we prepare to listen to the archived splendour of Saint Barry of Guildford, spare a thought for the 'blind man of Daroca'.

    Pablo Bruna - born 400 years ago on 22nd June 1611 in Aragon - arguably, the finest Spanish keyboard composer and organist of his day. Thirty two of his organ works survive - mostly in the tiento or fantasia form. He deserves a hearing.

    Er....why do we need an archive broadcast (albeit dripping with sanctity) when there are live ones to be had????
