I've just caught up with this annual competition and was astounded at the very high quality of singing and musicianship on display. Credit not only goes to the young singers but to parents and choir trainers for keeping the flame of church choral singing ablaze and for enhancing the quality and range of music on offer. A pleasure to hear the choristers speak very articulately about their life and singing in an enthusiastic way. Radio Two does very little to follow this up and seems ashamed of its ownership of the competition by putting it out late at night. It would fit better on Radio Three! Refreshing listening.
