Bit of a treat having the Tallis Lamentations tacked on at the end!

I'm glad it's not a Festal Evensong given what else is scheduled for Wednesday....

Oops. A bit political there, odders.

Maybe Tallis and Byrd mourning the withdrawal from Roman Rite might have parallels with....

There's a pro-Europe demo outside the Phiharmonic Hall tomorrow afternoon, a few hundred yards from the Cathedral, but it doesn't start until 5.30 so you probably won't hear anything.

(I'm hoping to be at both.)

Sorry pardon. I did refrain from a somewhat longer comment along the lines of your small print though....

              Reminder: today @ 3.30 p.m.

NB: Liverpool Met say that girls and men usually sing Wednesday Choral Evening Prayer, BUT their schedule for THIS week suggests that the choir is of girls and boys and men.

Jean: were you there in the service after all?
                If so.......
Need your help on who sang what?
Sounded as if girls and men sang some, boys and men sang some, and everybody sang bits.

Tallis to conclude service was a very good idea.

Simpler than that - there was a little antiphonal singing (in the NT Canticle), but always boys, girls and men sang together, except in the Tallis.

I thought they all sang beautifully, and even the homily wasn't so bad.
