      Yes. That method survived until 1662, when it changed to the present one stated by ardcarp.

          It’s probably just as well that it did change. It did rather ‘over-engineer’ the problem.

              Now just finished this musical offering from Windsor in the peace of my own home. As pointed out already, this really was a great service in every respect. Glorious accuracy and phrasing: well done to a team clearly on the up!
