    I don't think the introduction mentioned it, but the psalm seems to have been taken from the Broadcast Psalter which G T-B edited. (The eagles weren't lusty, for example). He also edited the BBC Hymn Book, which I remember finding in use in St Andrew's, Old Headington, years ago - I don't know if it ever had wider currency.

    Presumably the Magnificat antiphon was one he wrote for the Temple Church, as it was appropriate to that location (rather than the Epiphany season, when the service was broadcast).

    Are those Walford Davies canticles in the repertoire anywhere? I don't remember hearing them before.

      They were included in Choral Evensong broadcast from Bristol Cathedral on 25 November 1947.
