      Nicely judged, and well-disciplined singing.
Resolute and assured top line, men did their stuff when unleashed.
Comparisons are odious, but on the whole, but IMO this was perhaps a rather more carefully performed CE than at the Three Choirs.

I enjoyed this a good deal. I take Draco's point on its 'careful' performance, but better that than too splashy: all too easy with a combo of choirs unfamiliar with each other beyond their annual outings. Its restrained feel may well have suited the building and forces.
Particularly good to hear the too-rarely-performed in exitu; let's have rather more of the 'English Mozart' in pref to his son, S.S. Exultate Deo next?
