Yes, it seemed much closer miked than usual, and as a result, the psalms sounded laboured and not entirely mistake free, and later at times the pianos drowned a deal of the material.
I just thought the mismatch between Mag / Nunc / anthem a bit much to take, and some bits just seemed a bit indisciplined, and as if suffering from a kind of agoraphobia in an alien acoustic environment - or maybe it was just me feeling like that.
We had [I]a cappella - loved the Byrd responses, a twinkly little chamber organ accompanying, then robust piano - a pretty ambitious mix for a live broadcast, , for the choir to tune in to all in the space of an hour, and the engineers seem to have taken some trouble to stop the mighty acoustic playing a part.
