Will certainly try to catch this one way or another.
The Edmundson is one of my favourite treatments of the Vom Himmel hoch chorale tune (Stravinsky's treatment of the JSB Canonic Variations is way up there too). Probably first heard in Liverpool (Anglican) Cathedral.

I thought John Scott was no longer happily with us.

It's an archive service from December 2007 (mentioned at the top of the posting).
        Presumably as a tribute.

I couldn't believe my ears, when I heard the organ voluntary. Quite uncanny as this was the very work that ended the recital I attended at my church, and he played at the very end.

So good to hear the charismatic Fr Mead. So self-effacing. Pastoral leader, not a musician, but admirably supported.

The treble line interesting in that of course in USA boys change to High School a year later - equivalent to our Y10, and not as at many trad UK choir schools Y9. This means that boys actually WANT to go on singing as long as possible since in their choir school, singers are top dogs, and few kids want to vacate that status. As they move into Y9 in UK, many boys, in whatever school, tend to pretend that they can't still sing treble or alto to bow to peer pressure. Hmm.

BTW, I think we heard a good choir, Can I respectfully remind Forumites that ALL St T's choral services are broadcast live, and can be accessed later if required. Anyone who admired trad men and boys singing will not want to miss them. They sing CE Tues, Wed, Thurs, sometimes Sat, and twice on Sundays every week. Live on GMT 10.30 p.m. weekdays, 9 p.m. Sundays.

The full Faure Requiem is the core of the service

Sorry..I didn't edit anything! Just hit the wrong button.

Heard the Eucharist. Choir men sounding in fine fettle. Tempi just a shade fast in the Faure, possibly? Not making the most of the 'big tunes' IMVHO. Pie Jesu sung with full trebles. A v.g. baritone soloist.
