Simon was THE musician in Leeds for many years. If concerts were happening he had something to do with them. A Marmite character maybe, an extrovert organist who revelled in the colours he could conjure up! He had a great influence on the music in the newly published Revised English Hymnal. His lovely setting of Ave Maria programmed for 25 March in his memory. RIP
