It strikes me as rather commendable that Anna L has kept the Pembroke job in spite of her progress onto the international
    concert stage.

There are musicians who seem able to hold down several demanding roles at once - for example, think of Stephen Cleobury at King's and conducting the BBC Singers, as well as giving solo recitals, guest conducting etc. Anna Lapwood has been at Pembroke College (not formerly a major player on the Cambridge choral scene) for some years now and was young when appointed so it would not be an unreasonably short tenure if she were to move on.

Pembroke is two weekday evenings and Sundays during term, plenty of time for the director to do other work.

I'd like to see Anna get the DoM of Winchester Cathedral Choir post, when that is next advertised.

She is a fantastic musician and strikes me as being a great leader and an inspiring teacher - Pembroke College sound wonderful under her.

It would also help bring a famous Choir to an even wider audience: just what the doctor has ordered after a difficult time there.
