    I don't recall an evensong broadcast from here before. What I do remember was talking to the vicar of Holy Innocents' in Manchester just before he moved to St James' in the mid 1990s, and being told that the first thing he'd do on arrival was abolish the paid choir. I wonder whether he succeeded and whether there is a resident choir there now.

              1.12.24 is indeed Advent Sunday: I've now added the service that day to the list.

              PS: I've also changed the style of the heading to be more like BaL, i.e., date earlier.

                  Looking at their website I see that they still have a professional choir, so either Rev Bill Wilson didn't do the damage he wanted to, or it got repaired after he left.
