Is it me, or did Hannah French's intro sound a tad sibilant - dodgy microphone? Musn't complain... I wish we had the Tallis Scholars on R3 more often.

Excellent EMS, I really enjoyed it.
The Young Composers (under 19 & 25!) section with accompanying Tallis Scholar pieces - what more could you ask for?

Then... why, oh why, oh why, R3, spoil the whole atmosphere with a trashy trailer for UNWIND!!!!

What annoyed me was the BBC's apparent fear of any silence: the pieces started microseconds after the announcements ended.
An insult to the performers and to us listeners.

Could they have been tight for time with the encore? But, you're right - the music should be treated with more respect.

Well they didn't include all the pieces that the blurb said would be included, and it wasn't a live broadcast so there should be no excuse for indecent haste.

You're right ooo, the two de Wert pieces & the Guerrero were missing.

I still enjoyed it, though.

I enjoyed it as well, but why oh why does it have to be shortchanged like that? It's not as if the missing pieces(and there must be more from that concert) are appearing in a later programme. Next week's seems to be a repeat from 2021, and although it will be worth hearing again, it shouldn't oust the chance to hear a superb performing group in a (2 hours less an interval) concert that has already been part broadcast. Looking up the details I see that what appeared on the R3 online blurb is a straight cut and paste from one of the Saffron Hall webpages, hence the missing items. As ever - why bother having online info if it isn't going to be correct? I also came across this, which doesn't say much but does provide an interesting detail about the disposition of singers for the Allegri.

We get 'ads'/trails for BBC progs EVEN in the middle of national TV news. Esp to pathetic 'Newsnight'.
