I wonder if Draco lives in a different time zone to the rest of Cumbria/UK?
That might explain why the weather he reports is never what the BBC site predicts.

Cumbria is very odd geographically and ref weather: western coasts wracked by fierce Irish Sea winds and gales, it's often first landfall in England for most / many trans-Atlantic broken / breaking complications, the hills / mountains of Cumbria can be sharp, high with plateaux / channels that slope / accelerate/ switchback gales, rain / snow.

The BBC's forecasts include ' North West ' - which we here cynically reckon reveals the weather solely for the streets leading to / from cafes / shops etc for BBC studios / weather 'experts' to live out their days.

Dislike the CE: it was above all a CONCERT - yes, very decently sung and played, but fundamentally a concert.

This ticked all my boxes today. Terrific singing, the Stanford Mag Wow! A CE of the year so far for me. Thank you!

The choir and organist were brilliant from start to finish. I really needed that after reading the sad news of SJV and the sad goings on at Winchester Cathedral. This service, and the standard throughout, was a reminder of why our choirs are such precious assets.

Thank you to everyone at St.George's Chapel, Windsor

I thought the anthem: 'I saw the Lord', by Matthew Martin, a splendid piece, much better than many a contemporary work by some better-known and more highly-praised Radio3 composers .

St George's up to its very best; every bit as brilliant as the Christopher Robinson era.

I don't want to put words into Draco's mouth as he's perfectly able to respond himself, but I think that at least part of the problem is the enforced BBC presentation style, which does indeed give the impression of a concert rather than a liturgical (and regular) event that you just happen to be listening into.
So perhaps more a criticism of that than of the service/singing itself?

Yes: presented as if a concert, and I very specifically complimented the singing etc.
