A new sound from Gonville and Caius Choir

CD Review featured Curitiba's Metaphors near the start of the programme just now. It is a fascinating piece combining Brazilian rainforest birdsong with a reworking of a Victoria mass extract. Those who found G&C's top line a bit, er, fruity in recent CE broadcasts will delight at a very high and treble-like discant.

It comes from CD of South American music, Romaria:

Geoffrey Webber, the choir's director, has always sought a wide and varied repertoire for the choir.

Extraordinary, certainly yes, and some nice singing of 'new' music - I heard it. BUT, crikey, would I buy it.......? Hmm.
