The Sunday Service on R4 came from St David's this morning. Inter alia, the choir sang Mathias's Jubilate extremely well, and I thought they would be well up for a live CE at some point.

They actually sang Walton's Jubilate (as announced). I agree that is was sung well. The final organ voluntary was Mathias's Jubilate

I loved the first lesson! Didn't understand a word of it, because I was mesmerised by the timbre of the reader's voice. I expected sloe-black, slow, black, crowblack at any moment. Definitely not bible-black!

I just knew for some it would invoke the shade of the Rev. Eli Jenkins!!
I thought it was all perfectly lovely (listening to repeat on now)
