Anyone who has purchased the exquisite series of Eton Choirbook selections from CCC/Darlington must relish this CE.
The HC Stewart is of course a former Magister Choristarum at Magdalen.

Interestingly, the BBC's R3 CE page seems to be incorrect: the organist should be POTTS. The composer is POTT. Just an uneasy coincidence. I have since corrected the listing upthread.

According to the CCCC website, Alexander Pott is the organ scholar!

He is related to the composer, Francis Pott; a nephew, I think.

For my money, there is no finer piece of Sheppard than Reges Tharsis.

Oh I don't know, Verbum caro is pretty peachy.

The concluding section, from the second repeat, with the point et veritatis, is hard to beat, that's for sure.

Could the organ scholar's surname be correctly spelt, please? No extra 's'.

Who's the 'Magister Choristarum' when he's at home?

No extra 's', certainly, but I believe the correct spelling of the Organ Scholar's surname is 'Port'.
