        I was about to ask if the "Mr Bevan" being asked to sing was Maurice Bevan of the Deller Consort, but scrolling down to the bottom of this link page reveals indeed it was (and that Wilfred Parry was indeed the pianist)

        Jarvis Cocker remembers the long-running BBC radio programme, "Singing Together."


        I think I recognised Ann Driver's voice asking me to run on tippy-toes - if she was still doing that in the 1960's which was my primary era
