Not on Radio 3, of course, but as we always seem to wait in hope for more cathedrals to adopt webcasts of their choral services, I thought that some forum-goers may be interested in hearing from Lincoln Cathedral's choir, which sang the 11:15a Trinity Sunday Eucharist at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. on its recent tour of the United States.
As is fairly common in the National Cathedral's video services, the congregational hymns get more or less lost beneath the organ, but the choir sings beautifully, I thought, with a dexterity in the anthems and a warmth and clear care in the psalm. Music from the choir includes Byrd's 'Sing Joyfully', Vaughan Williams' 'Antiphon', and Sheppard's 'Libera Nos, Salva Nos'.
