    William Walton Edition

This OUP edition was completed two years ago.

At around £180 per volume, these are not cheap (unlike the ludicrously cheap Elgar Edition scores), but I would dearly love to supplement my Elgar scores with these.

I agree - would love to have these! They are very nicely produced, and some fine people involved in the editing (David Lloyd-Jones et al). When the lottery win happens...

Would certainly make a very fine addition. But why the hiked up price?

This edition is on special offer from Presto Music. Good value really, and I'd love to have it - but...

Too much duplication for me; I already have Belshazzar and Symphony 1.

At £555 off, surely it has to be a bargain?

Does the price include two weeks in the sun on Ischia?

I think OUP's idea is to make a real collector's edition, an investment which will actually appreciate in value when the very limited edition they've made sells out. So it's one for the pension fund.

The most popular items are of course available cheaply, in nice green laminated paperback editions. Lovely things!
