I've only just seen this. I got the first two, didn't get the third one, I got the fourth and sixth ones, the fifth and seventh ones I needed the extra note prompt and I got the last two although I couldn't immediately remember the penultimate one and managed to do so only just before it was revealed.

I fear that, had the examples come from Mahler songs, I'd have done less well; as it is, I did rather better than I thought that I would! I daresay David and Colin Matthews would have got the lot instantly...

      I got two

Furious not to have got the 9th Rondo-Burleske one!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Don't judge a cover by the book it's from.

Back on topic, is there a version of Mahler's six for two pianos?
seems I forgot to insert a " Backhanded compliment" smiley.

          meanwhile , in googleland....

i assume its for 2 pianos, not a single piano duet, but my research skills aren't that advanced....

Hmm. Bruno Walter made piano versions of the 1st and 2nd Symphonies, and Ronald Stevenson (finished by Christopher White) made a piano version of Deryck Cooke's realisation of the sketches for the 10th, so why not?

According to Wiki the piano duet transcription was by Zemlinsky. Scherzo second movement, just to mention.

Oh, yes - youTube to the rescue:
Gustav Mahler (1860-1911): Sinfonia No.6 in la minore "Tragica" (1903/1904). Trascrizione per pianoforte a 4 mani (1905/1906) di Alexander von Zemlinsky (187...

... sounds identical to the first movement clip ts posted.

And you can download the complete arrangement (subject to local regulations) free from imslp:

Mahler himself made a piano duet transcription of Bruckner's Sixth Symphony.

I am not aware of a version of the Mahler 6th for two pianos on CD, but I have in my collection one for piano four hands arranged by Zemlinsky. It is coupled with the 7th arranged by Casella. The 6th is a much more convincing reduction to my ears.
