The cover disc of the May 2020 issue of BBC MM is Bruckner 8 (1884–7, rev. 1889–90; edited by Leopold Nowak).
BBCSSO conducted by Donald Runnicles.
Recorded live at City Halls, Glasgow, 21 January 2010.
I thought that I had flagged this up somewhere but if I did I can't find the post, and this now seems the most appropriate thread.

I ought to print this (expanded, as you see when you reply) post as an example of how to cross-reference!
PS
Hmm: except I still don't know where the post783330 bit rather than page 3 came from.

Not long before lockdown I found the BBC Legends Bruckner 8 and 9 coupling with Horenstein in a local charity shop . I see it seems to be difficult to obtain second hand on line . RO gives it a mixed review in Gramophone. Any views on here ?

I have owned that for a dogs age, and for many years before I developed a fuller appreciation for AB it was my only version of thos two pieces. I remember playing them a couple of years ago and thinking that they didn’t hold my interest compared to Wand, Karajan, Giulini, and others.
I've not found his Bruckner of compelling interpretative interest previously - IIRC I heard his 8th back in the day.... In medias res with Venzago now.....
