Heard on Through the Night 8/11/2023
Felix Mendelssohn. Symphony no.1 in C minor, Op.11
Orchestra: Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor: Andrew Litton.
I don't think I have ever heard this before: Litton gets a crackling performance from the Bergen Phil. (As John Shea says in his intro, it's been overshadowed by the reputations of #3 & #5 - though obviously he could have added #4 too.)
