An interesting composer whose music I first heard many years ago, much influenced by Peter Maxwell Davies in those days. Well worth investigating and he's still around I understand.

Dear All,
Cyril Lloyd is a Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, and composer in residence at Sutton Grammar School amongst a number of other engagements. He is an established composer of large-scale symphonic (I believe 8 so far, but could be wrong) and choral works, but I'm afraid I don't recognise the Peter Maxwell Davies influence any longer!
Kind Regards,
Nick.

It looks as if we have welcomed Mr Lloyd as our latest member. It will be good to hear an update on his work.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Mr. Lloyd sounds an interesting composer and I regret that I had never heard of him before. Can I easily get to hear some of his music? I have not yet tried Youtube but will do so; but do any of you know of any other website that will help me?
