Albert Dupuis was born in Verviers in 1877.
Orphaned at the age of fifteen, he pursued his studies at the Verviers Conservatoire while working as a tutor at the Grand Theatre of Verviers
He was a brilliant and precocious student, and he composed his first comic opera already at the age of eighteen.
His work is not particularly well documented but
