Natanael Berg was born in Stockholm in 1879. He composed five grand symphonies, namely:
Symphony no. 1 "Alles endet was entstehet" [Everything that comes into being comes to an end] (1913)
Symphony no. 2 "Ă…rstiderna" [The Seasons], (1916)
Symphony no. 3 "Makter" [Forces] (1917)
Symphony no. 4 "Pezzo sinfonico" (1918)
Symphony no. 5 "Trilogia delle passioni" (1924)
All but the first of the symphonies are available at Youtube to the general public.
Also noteworthy are his:
Violin Concerto (1918)
Piano Concerto (1931) [YT]
Piano Quintette (1917)
and

Berg's orchestral style is perhaps best described as that of a kind of supercharged, almost wholly pantonal Richard Strauss.
