You're too quick for me, I was just going to post about that. As you see it did meet with the maestro's approval...

You won't find me buying that. Well, not until the first Friday in June. That way, Bandcamp waves its cut in favour of the musicians concerned the first Friday in each month, for the time being, AFAIAA.

I think they might have stopped that now, not sure.

https://daily.bandcamp.com/features/...p-fridays-2021 is the most recent related statement I could find with a quick search.

That crossed my mind; but: I couldn't wait! oh well.

Thanks JK, I was just going to post a link to that myself!

Last autumn we were planning a concert consisting of Ravel's Introduction and Allegro for harp and chamber ensemble, Birtwistle's Tragoedia, and another contemporary ensemble work, but unfortunately the publishers' hire fees exceeded the meagre budget for the concert so a solution had to be found... and the result was these three realisations of mediaeval pieces, something I've been thinking about for ages but never had the opportunity to get around to doing. Although the choice was made fairly quickly, it also became obvious that there could be a lot more where these came from, so I expect they will be added to at some point. Although no new material has been added to any of the songs apart from some octave transpositions, the opening of the first one might not sound as much like Dufay as you'd expect, because about two thirds of the notes have been removed.

I'm not sure how you found your way to that idea, but it's an interesting one!
