Now seems like a good time to mention that Mark Viner's Alkan complete piano music is still continuing on the Piano Classics label. The two most recent CDs (volumes 5 and 6) have been exemplary and volume 6 included the fearsome "Le Chemin de fer". I reviewed that disc for The Alkan Society (of which I am a member).Best regards,
Jonathan
