The whole cycle is on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...nD6gf598hgPLZe

It really ought to be recorded and released on CD!

Thanks for that. In fact I think I have all the music on CD, I just wasn't sure what was in the cycle exactly (Just read Richard Toop's paper on it, and thence ordered Marguerite Yourcenar's book -- one thing leads to another.)

                    Agreed.

I posted this on the score-following thread not so long ago.

It’s a sort of “review of the literature” piece, but nevertheless is an impressively magisterial piece of work, one of the most stimulating things by Pace that I’ve read. He gives me the impression of having a good grasp of a lot of literature - though I’m hardly qualified to assess this really!

Listening to Terain this morning, while reflecting on this picture, which I saw in Paris a couple of years ago, and which comes up in the Pace article with reference to Toop and the idea of figure

                            Which version of Terrain?

We are fortunate that there are several or more on youtube. I used to have the disk with the fourth string quartet & more where it's played IIRC by the ASKO Ensemble, but it got stolen. Now I only have the ELISION recording. Anyway it's a fine piece and I have a copy of the score.

Asko -- that's the only one I've heard.
