In response to overwhelming popular demand (my thanks to them both for their imput), I have arranged the Thread titles so that composers' surnames appear first. Going through the Admin procedure a dozen times, checking the spelling of "Bohuslav", finding the appropriate Alt symbol for umlauts etc, resisting the temptation to put "Fricker, My Friend" ... hardly any burden on my time at all. (The odour you have just noticed is the unmistakable fragrance of freshly-roasting martyr.)
A couple of exceptions - recent Threads created specifically for this new sub-Forum and still attracting contributions retain their original Thread Titles (so "Bax" is still listed under "S" for "Sir" at the moment). Once interest has settled, I'll adjust the Title so that the Thread can be more easily found in the "Archive".
Investigations are currently underway for the "multiple topic" composers to receive individual "folders" so that (for example) all the Bruckner topics are gathered into one Heading on the index - a click on this heading will then reveal the various topics. This may involve sub-fora within the sub-Forum. If it looks as if it's going to get too labyrinthine that might all be put on the back burner.
My thanks to all Forumistas who have contributed to the success of the new sub-Forum. I hope initial anxieties have been soothed - if anyone still has any concerns, please let me know and I'll do my best to get them sorted out. (The concerns, not the Forumistas.)
