Thank you. I managed to look at the 1974 printing too (I found it on the often-useful Internet Archive, see my post listing which accords with yours) and am pretty sure this was the only edition. IH established the full range of "H." numbers in it, but only added a list of recorded works to her 1985 edition of her other big book The Music of Gustav Holst - the last and best edition, with a softening of judgement towards pieces she formerly considered not quite up to scratch (including 'Venus', 'Jupiter' and 'Uranus' from The Planets!)

Those who have become Imogen fans since the excellent CotW may like to know that Britten Pears Trust has made available Imogen's studio/bungalow in Aldeburgh for holiday lets.

Church Walk is a delightful single- storey property in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. It was the home of Imogen Holst from 1964 until her death 20 years later. It was

Also available is 'Cosy Nook', Britten and Pears' housekeeper, Mrs (Edit: Miss!) Hudson's cottage (more a bungalow really!) in the grounds of the Red House.

This delightful bungalow is nestled within The Red House garden. It was built in 1972 for Miss Hudson, Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears’ housekeeper, when

We've booked to have a two-centre holiday in May!

The orchestral works come from this CD......which was in the 'classical charts' when issued last year.

Release date: 6 September 2024 Featuring many world-premiere recordings, this album highlights the work of one of Britain’s most accomplished composers in performances by BBC Concert Orchestra and BBC Singers with conductor Alice Farnham. The works on the recording include the Overture Persephone from 1929; the earlier

Ms Holst came across as somebody with whom I think I would have got on really well. I would never wish to stay in her cottage without her being in it!
