    Friedrich Jeremias Witt 1770 - 1836

His name has been preserved solely due to misatribution. But a very capable Composer in his own right none the less. Please listen to his gorgeous Quintet for Piano & Winds in E Flat Op.5 especially the very catchy Menuetto. Ok it's nothing earth shattering or original. In fact you could even say he was at best an imitator of Mozart & Haydn. Still the music itself is gorgeous.

And the same recording on YouTube [Prize for the most perspicacious comment below: 'Hey! Los 4 vientos se llaman James' - true]. My kind of Easy Listenin' - not intended to disparage.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
