    Diabelli

A friend of mine's 10 year old son will be playing a piece by Diabelli on the piano at the end of year show at the local conservatorio.

Had to admit I'd never heard of him....anyone enlighten? Kids' stuff?

wikipedia says Diabelli's opus 125 is called 'The First Lessons on the Piano'
or perhaps your friend's son will be playing the theme of Beethoven's opus 120

I think you should put in a request to Clemmie on 9th June for some Diabelli

Diabelli also completed and published Beethoven's "Rage over a Lost Penny", a work from 1795 with an opus number suggesting it to be a much later work. I must admit I don't know where Beethoven left off and Diabelli begins.
