Don't we all think it's easier to mention the Dvoark works we don't like.
The thread would be considerably shorter, methinks

- and, as Roehre suggests, it's easier to name the works I dislike (PIano Concerto, first two symphonies, Stabat Mater, Hero's Song).

I know a lot of people dislike the Piano Concerto but I really rather like it! Think I'll give it a spin now!
I also like the Carnival overture mentioned earlier. I've got boxed sets of the chamber music and the piano music which I really must get around to listening to sometime.Best regards,
Jonathan

I heard all of the Dumky Trio just now and it did nothing to displace the sensation I described above, that AD's chamber music doesn't do much for me.
(The 'American' quartet is the exception, proving the rule...)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
