Nil points for me, Jommelli could have been some exotic pasta for all I knew. But will certainly listen. A little bit of heaven for Anna - Jean Mouton (1459-1522) "Nesciens mater" The Monteverdi Choir/Gardiner: http://youtu.be/_hZHKKD5ahk

Well I heard most of the 6:30 prog on the way home, good stuff it is too
Loved the setting of "Veni, creator spiritus..." (and strange to hear those words so familiar from Gustav M's version, in a baroque idiom)."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

COTW - Jommelli
Can't see a thread on this yet.
jommelli is a composer who has passed me by until now. Really I've been totally unaware of this composer, but today's COTW (Thur, 24/1) had some very worthwile music. it was at least pleasant, and possibly more than that. I may be tempted to listen to these programmes again while I can, and I would recommend setting up recorders etc. to catch the last two proreammes (tonight and tomorrow). You can always delete them later, but I suspect Jommelli won't come round again soon.

off topic, and trivial, but he got a mention up thread....I think Frescobaldi is just about my favourite name of a composer. Or anybody else.
(Except for Le Tissier, of course).
Anyway, some of the music has been jolly pleasant, but I have to agree that lesser known baroque types do seem a bit over represented on COTW.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.
