    I've just caught up with Monday's CotW. Unusual to have an Anglican Psalm sung in its entirety on this programme. Here done beautifully by St John's CC. Two other anthems were from Gonville and Caius' CD dedicated to Wesley's music:



    Samuel was something of a chameleon composer, a young prodigy able to write in a late classical symphonic style, to hark back to earlier Catholic church music styles and to throw his hat into the current Anglican sound.*

    Looking forward to catching up on the rest.

    *PS I notice SA has already said much the same sort of thing in Post#7 Sorry...didn't spot it until now.
