        Depends what time of the day one listens to ....I was just making a point that it's an English,as well as Early,Music field day.

          Yes Rob, you have frequently hinted that you are partial to English Music!

          I should have added that I am partial to the English Composers of this week and last, Henry Purcell and William Byrd.

              Yes Padraig I have always been partial to Purcell and now even more so to Byrd.

                    I thoroughly enjoyed this Composer of the Week. Donald Macleod sounded almost as if he were reporting live from Purcell’s time.

                    Here’s something (part of a gala concert) that Purcell, as a man of theatre, might just have enjoyed but definitely NOT for present-day purists.
